How to Use the Hot Knive
Start by selecting the proper blades, knife and sled, which is easy with a Wind-lock kit.
When attaching the straight blade to the knife, use the Allen wrench to cinch a secure electrical connection.
The 16-position temperature-control thumb wheel is conveniently located on top.
Switch on or off by simply pressing the trigger.
For cutting channels, the QS-50 square blade mounts directly into the knife.
For larger shapes, a Q-EBX4 electrical box cutting blade can be mounted to the 6-inch Groove sled. The depth of cut is adjusted by simply raising or lowering the blade.
Start with the knife tilted back, then rock it forward for a wide plunge cut using the Groove Sled and EBX4 blade.
V-grooves can be accomplished by using an easily attached sled and groove blades.
For angled cuts, adjust two edges of the guide to create the desired bevel.
